I got the following crash when rendering with manifold exploration:

2015-10-01 12:04:45 DEBUG rend [LDRFilm] Developing film ..

this time it happened using erpt. but i assume that it happened before using memlt although i have no log.

I got a lot of the following warnings (hundreds) for the manifold perturbation before the crash:

2015-10-01 12:04:35 WARN  wrk1 [ManifoldPerturbation] Internal error in manifold perturbation: luminance = 1.#INF00!
2015-10-01 12:04:41 WARN  wrk3 [ManifoldPerturbation] Internal error in manifold perturbation: luminance = 0.000000!

In fact when rendering with mlt bidir + manifold mutations the console stopped displaying the messages, because of gui freezing (not sure whether it is related to the crash).

The scene and the configuration xml is attached.

whoops, I missed the second part of your message. The warning messages are somewhat disturbing. Did you compile the renderer with double precision?

1. yes, commit >>disable overly paranoid checks in rtrans.h<< fixed my problem.
2. yes, double precision fixed the warnings.
