Does it work with the default build and dist dir? If that turns out to have been the problem, what custom dist/build paths did you specify? Try removing that directory. Also, try removing the SCons cache file in the Mitsuba directory (named .sconsign.dblite or similar). If none of those help, what happens when you explicitly ask SCons to build a file, e.g.

C:\Mitsuba\> scons dist\mtsgui.exe

that’s kind of strange. But why are you calling “scons.py” in the mitsuba directory? Usually, one would install Scons so that it lives somewhere in the python directory, and it then gets called via “ /scripts/scons.bat” (or perhaps “tools” instead of “scripts, don’t remember), which should be on the %PATH%. I’m not sure if that’s the cause of your particular problem, but perhaps something to investigate. Also, make sure that you didn’t change any of the build system files as part of your experiments in trying to get it to compile — if in doubt, check out a clean copy.
